What is Hub Digital?
Hub Digital is an innovative e-learning platform designed to support your learning journey with on-demand, asynchronous content. It offers a variety of interactive modules, video lessons, and assessments to enhance your skills, anytime, anywhere.
Who can use Hub Digital?
Hub Digital is designed for a diverse audience, with some distinctions to note below:
- TRSM Undergraduate Students: Currently enrolled undergraduate students at the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) receive free, complimentary access to Hub Digital content directly within their existing D2L course shells (Utilize this link to login). Access is managed through your TMU university account.
- Ted Rogers Alumni Community: All members of the community are welcome to purchase access to enhance their professional skills through our e-learning catalogue. Check out your Ted Rogers Alumni newsletter for related discount codes opportunities.
- External Learners: This public storefront is open to anyone else looking to upskill, including but not limited to: working professionals, and students from other institutions and TMU faculties. You can purchase access to specialized bundles and credentials directly through this site.
How does Hub Digital work?
Note: The following steps are exclusively for Ted Rogers Alumni and external learners.
Hub Digital provides a clear, seamless process for purchasing, gaining access, and starting your learning journey:
- Select & Checkout: Browse our products and add your desired product bundle(s) to your shopping cart, then proceed to the secure checkout page.
- Create Account & Pay: At checkout, you will be prompted to create your unique Hub Digital D2L account credentials. Note: Your email address used will be your username (for TMU community members, we recommend using your TMU email address). You will then be prompted to complete your purchase by paying via credit card or by redeeming a valid voucher code.
- Access the Platform: Once your transaction is confirmed, you can log in directly to the Hub Digital D2L platform using the credentials you created. Launch Your Module: Upon logging in, you will be directed to your content page. To unlock the product modules, you will first be required to complete a brief, mandatory intake survey.
- Start Learning: After the survey is complete, the content for your purchased bundle(s) will be visible. You can immediately begin your learning journey! Note: Content will be unlocked in an iterative manner, so you will only see the related topic Level 1 offerings until you complete the module, then you will see the related quiz. Once you have completed the quiz successfully, you will see the next available level.
What kind of content format can I expect from Hub Digital?
Hub Digital offers a wide range of content, including:
- Video modules: Step-by-step visual learning of concepts.
- Text-based lessons: Detailed explanations and resources for deeper understanding.
- Interactive exercises: Hands-on activities that help reinforce your knowledge.
- Assessments: Quizzes and tests to check your understanding and track your progress.
Do I need any special software to use Hub Digital?
Hub Digital is an online e-learning platform that can be accessed via a web browser, so no additional software is required to access it.
However, we do recommend installing the relevant system requirements associated with the product(s) you purchase, to be able to complete practice activities. Relevant topics will include a brief overview on system requirement processes in the first module (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Is there a cost to use Hub Digital?
Yes, at this time, you will have to pay per product offering a one-time cost.
Note for TRSM Undergraduate students: Please always check your TMU Hub Digital D2L shell first to see if your desired product is available for free. If not available, please create an external learner credential to purchase and access these offerings
How can I track my progress on Hub Digital?
Progress within the modules are saved so you can resume learning anytime.
Can I get help if I have questions while using Hub Digital?

Can I pause my Hub Digital learning journey and come back to it?
Yes, you can pause and resume your journey at any time. Your progress is automatically saved.
However, please note at this time, Hub Digital accounts with no activity for more than seven years may be deactivated or removed in accordance with our data security and risk mitigation protocols.

What methods of payment are acceptable?

Can I earn badge credentials?
Yes. Hub Digital allows you to build professional credibility through digital badges. These are awarded upon completion of specific "bundles" to prove your competency.
Our Core Badge Pathways:
To earn a badge in any of our pathways, you must meet the following criteria:
- Assessment: Achieve a minimum grade of 80% on all related assessments.
- Feedback: Complete all associated surveys.
Are the modules accessible and designed to be inclusive of various learning needs?
Yes. Hub Digital increases accessibility by offering flexible, multimodal learning options.
Learners can:
- Access content asynchronously (anytime, anywhere)
- Pause, replay, or review video modules
- Engage with both video and text-based materials
- Complete interactive activities at their own pace
- Revisit complex or technical concepts as needed
This flexibility supports learners who may require additional processing time, prefer text-based learning, use assistive technologies, or benefit from reviewing material multiple times.
